crunch time...

i work good under pressure.
i always have, and always will....
i suppose that is why i am such a procrastinator.

anyhow...
alyson and i whipped these ADORABLE cowgirl outfits up for my nephews 1st birthday (it was a cowboy theme)

super stinkin cute, if i do say so myself! :)

the one that almost made me stop sewing altogether...

alright,
their finished....
well, almost! nataley's still need buttons (which is why hers is more bulky).

on one hand, i must say i don't think i will EVER make these again, so don't bother asking me how...
but, on the other hand...
don't hold me to it because i might make them again someday, their kinda cute! :)

seriously, this was the hardest outfit i have ever made. and after much debate alyson was the one to figure out that the pattern was printed wrong.... best sew buddy to the rescue!

weeks! of sewing, seam ripping, re sewing, re seam ripping, studying pictures....
and it's done!

and i get to watch as my cuties reap the rewards of what took me forever to sew! :)

fall fantastic...

i guess you can say i have had sewers block for the past few week...
well, not so much block, but i got rather frustrated trying to do a round neck jumper.

and while me and my pal did figure it out, the girls outfits are still sitting there unfinished (goal for this week).

but last night i tried my very first seen it, liked it, make it... all on my own making my own pattern for it.

i do have a great idea for pants to go with it but haven't had time to start them...
but anyway, here is what i whipped up last night for my girls to wear to their friend lexi's birthday party today.

fall fantastic!

back bow tie...

i tried a new way of making outfits for my girls.
making both of them at the same time (idea credit to laura laura faye).
and i will say...
it felt like i was sewing for forever! but, both the girls got the outfit, and it's done now!
so, i guess this is the way to go when you got two beautiful girls needing to be dressed beautifully!

i saw these back bow tie dresses a little while ago and thought they were stinking cute...
and alyson beat me to the punch!
lucky for me my sewing buddy gave me the pattern!
always nice to have a buddy to sew with!

anyway, aren't they adorable?!
pretty party dresses for sure!

alright,
i was up way to late last night sewing....
but, this is just so stinking cute, that i don't mind one bit that i am a zombi this morning!
i still need to finish up nataleys matching ensemble...
but, i just couldn't wait to give a sneak peak!

my little fabric addiction...

i confess, i broke the budget (just a little) tonight at jo-anns.
but heidi grace was calling my name....
30% off kinda calling!

can't you just imagine all the sewing i will be doing?
i can!
but not tonight, i need to catch up on all the sleep i've been missing!

peasant top. jean skirt.

peasant top with matching jean ruffled pants.

i LOVE this.
seriously, it looks way cuter in person then in the picture even.
it was pretty simple to do. i would say after cutting about 2 hours to complete.

jean skirt (made from pants that no longer fit length but still fit waist).

very simple, very fast project.

hello there...

so, like i said over in my other blog this is simply a place for me to stick all my sewing and whatnot.
i don't expect to have fans, or for people to even like the stuff i do.

i really just want to keep track of it all, so that i can go back and look at how my abilities and styles change over the course of time.

so read, and enjoy...
if you want, or not.....
whatever. :)

projects from over the past few weeks.

maddy dress.
it was pretty simple to do. the only part that i would say was difficult was the straps, but then again it was my first time working with bias tape so the fact that i already washed it and it didn't fall apart is pretty good.

ruffle capris
very simple to do, very quick...
very cute!

apron knot dress
story behind this one is that i didn't think i would be able to figure it out the first time i tried it so i used junk fabric.
but, it turned out good. i don't really care for the fabric layout but i will make her ware it anyway.
